Education
You will receive a state of the art training to be become a high school math teacher (with possible middle school endorsement, if desired) through taking a variety of courses in mathematics and education, following by hands on field work and classroom teaching, leading to State of Illinois licensure. In short, you will graduate as a highly trained licensed math teacher!
Employment Potential
There is a shortage of mathematics teachers, and as a licensed teacher you will be in demand. All of our graduates in recent years have been recruited by one of the school systems in the area.
Salary
The average salary at the Chicago Publics Schools (CPS) is $94,000. Even the starting salary at CPS is fantastic. You will even be more in demand if you’re bilingual and receive an ESL endorsement!

Tuition Options
You may qualify to receive a tuition free education through UIC programs such as UIC Aspire grant or Brothers Teaching.
