Mathematical Education
About this research group
At the intersection of cognitive psychology, pedagogy, learning sciences, and mathematics lies the field of mathematics education research. The field is quite broad in scope as this intersection is quite large. Researchers are interested in pre-service and in-service teacher education, how students learn mathematics in K-12, different approaches to teaching, curriculum design, the role of technology, or the influence of factors such as race or gender on the learning of mathematics.
