My research interests lie at the intersection of mathematics (teacher) education and education policy and leadership, focusing on the policy and organizational contexts in which individuals (learn to) teach mathematics. Currently, my research examines how assumptions about school mathematics shape and constrain district policymaking for mathematics education. A second strand of my scholarship involves researching and designing for coherence in mathematics teacher education programs.
