I received a master's degree in theoretical physics and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Vienna in 2001 and 2004, respectively.
Before coming to UIC (in 2010), I held post doctoral positions at the University of Münster, the Wolfgang Pauli Institute Vienna, and the University of Cambridge.
