Sonia Kovalevsky Math day at UIC May 12
UIC's chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics is running the 4th Sonia Kovalevsky Math day at UIC for girls in grades 8-12 on Saturday May 12. This will be a fun Saturday full of Maths!
The theme is Geometric Games: there will be sessions on sphere packing, billiards, and games on non-orientable surfaces. The purpose of the event is to encourage young women to pursue mathematics.
There will be free lunch, T-shirts and also travel funding to help pay any costs to attend the event! If you're a teacher, parent or student and have questions, please feel free to email us.
