About
I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2010 under the direction of Karen Smith. After that, I was awarded an NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship, and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Utah and Princeton University. I have been at UIC since 2013, where my research has been supported in part by grants from the NSF and the Sloan Foundation, and I was promoted to full professor in 2020. In addition to my research, I am a dedicated undergraduate and graduate instructor, and have supervised several graduate students who have gone on to successful careers in academia and industry. I have also played an active role in departmental leadership, having served as Associate Head of Instruction, Associate Head of Operations, and on various committees at UIC.
