Marcus Michelen’s work featured in Quanta Magazine
Assistant Professor Marcus Michelen’s recent work has appeared in Quanta Magazine. The work concerns sphere packing in higher dimensions, in which Marcus and his collaborators achieve new bounds that are currently the best known in large dimension. The work is described as “a beautiful piece of mathematics,” by Yufei Zhao, a mathematician at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who adds “There are new, groundbreaking ideas.”
