Benjamin Bakker to speak at 2026 International Congress of Mathematicians
Introduction
MSCS Faculty member Benjamin Bakker has been selected to speak at the International Congress of Mathematicians that will be held in Philadelphia, July 2026. Bakker works on in algebraic geometry, specifically on Hodge theory, moduli of abelian, symplectic, and Calabi-Yau varieties, and relations to arithmetic geometry and model theory.
The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) is the world’s largest and most prestigious gathering of mathematicians, held every four years to present cutting-edge research and award major honors such as the Fields Medal.
